NEW YORK: A gunman killed six persons including three women in a Florida apartment block before being shot dead by police following a shootout on early Saturday, foreign media reported.
The gunman also took two individuals hostage who were unharmed in the shootout with law enforcement officers.
Officers are now in the process of identifying the victims and the motives behind the attack.
