Cheetay Logistics (Pvt.) Ltd. announced on Monday that leading software house Arbisoft has made a strategic investment in Cheetay; Yasser Bashir, Co-founder and CEO Arbisoft, to join the Executive Committee of the Board.

Yasser Bashir has worked in tech and software development for over 25 years. He holds a Masters degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.

“I am excited to be partnering with Cheetay Logistics and joining the Executive Committee of the Board,” said Bashir. “I look forward to coupling Arbisoft’s expertise in designing sophisticated and complicated optimization algorithms and consumer software with Cheetay’s capabilities. Through our collaboration, we hope to launch the next generation of logistics companies in Pakistan.”

Arbisoft was founded in 2007. It is a cutting-edge technology firm that specializes in creating web applications, mobile apps, and data mining techniques to offer customized digital solutions to its multinational client roster.

The company currently operates in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Cheetay was recently awarded three of the most prestigious awards at the P@sha ICT Awards 2019 for the Best Startup, Best Logistics Supply Chain and Best Digital Marketing & Advertising.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
