Tashkent, Uzbekistan: Uzbekistan and Pakistan are working together to promote bilateral tourism and the Director Tourism of Travel Planners Hamid Mahmood met the Minister Tourism of Uzbekistan Mr. Aziz A. Abdukhakinnov here on Wednesday and discussed the promotion of tourism between the two countries.

Minister Tourism of Uzbekistan Mr. Aziz A. Abdukhakinnov assured to Pakistani delegation that Uzbekistan would provide best services to tourists coming from Pakistan. The Minister also appreciated done by private Travel Planners as representative of Uzbek Ministry of Tourism in Pakistan and stated that company played pivotal role to promote Uzbekistan in Pakistan.

During meeting, Hamid Mahmood of Travel Planner officially invited Minister Tourism of Uzbekistan Mr. Aziz A. Abdukhakinnov to visit Pakista.

Islamabad adds

It may be mentioned that Pakistan and Uzbekistan are getting closer day by day since Furqat Sidiqov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Islamabad took over the charge. Bilateral trade, tourism and interaction are upward between the two countries as  Ambassador Furqat Sidiqov visits different cities of Pakistan to invite businessmen and investors to visit Pakistan and Uzbek delegations are being invited in Pakistan to explore opportunities.

One of the most popular exhibitions in Central Asia – the 23rd Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” (TMTW-2017) has been opened in Uzexpocenter since October 3. The International Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” is the brightest, large-scale event of the tourist the industry of Uzbekistan and the entire Central Asian region.

The main organizers of the event are the State Committee for the Development of Tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan, State Unitary Enterprise “Center for Promotion of the National Tourism Product”.

Annual exhibition has been on international tourism scene since 1995 with the official support of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Every year, professionals from all over the world gather at the exhibition.

This year more than 50 representatives of travel companies from 28 countries of the world participate in the Hosted Buyers program, including from Kyrgyzstan.

Within the framework of the tourism fair on October 3, B2B meetings for participants of the Hosted Buyers program with tour operators of Uzbekistan were held at the Miran International Hotel. The specialized program “Professional Buyer / Hosted Buyers” is a significant event in the tourism of Uzbekistan, whose goal is to conclude mutually beneficial contracts and establish professional partnerships.

In addition to the participants of the program “Hosted Buyers” will be organized study tours to the largest tourist centers of Uzbekistan.
