UK raises terror threat to level 3 today as an attack is highly likely

Monitoring Desk: The UK threat level is being raised to level 3 today from substantial to severe meaning an attack is highly likely.

According to a statement issued by the Home Secretary,  there was no evidence of a imminent attack but the assessment was that the threat has increased due to events in Iraq and Syria.

Meanwhile UK Prime Minister Cameron has also raised alerts and issued a statement.

ISIS poses a “greater and deeper threat to our security than we’ve seen before” said Prime Minister David Cameron in a statement as the UK raises its terror threat level to severe.

Fighting the Islamic State is “a generational struggle” against a “poisonous ideology” Cameron said, adding the UK “must respond calmly and with purpose” to a “greater and deeper threat to our security than we’ve seen before.”

It may be mentioned that thousands of Britishers are fighting Jihad in Syria and Iraq and Uk government has no record about them. Theses Britishers include British Muslims and British non-Muslims. UK has been claiming that only 500 citizens of UK are fighting Jihad while ISIS twitting and websites claim that more than 5000 citizens from UK are fighting Jihad against Assad government and in Iraq.

Intelligence agencies of UK now gives alerts to government that there are strong possibilities that hundreds of Jihadis have come back from Jihad to UK and are living in in Muslim populace areas and can attack British Interests any time.
