Two Crimean journalists missing in Eastern Ukraine

Monitoring Desk: Russian media claims that two Crimean journalists are missing in Eastern Ukraine. It may be mentioned that Russian photojournalist Andrei Stenin is still missing since August 5, 2014.

Russian news agency RIA Novosti claims two journalists of the Crimean Telegraph newspaper, Evgeniya Koroleva and Maxim Vasilenko went missing on Sunday in the area of the military operation in Eastern Ukraine.

Crimean Telegraph newspaper confirmed that two staffers are missing. Newspaper said Evgeniya Koroleva and photographer Maxim Vasilenko went missing when they were coming back to Crimea after covering fighting in Donetsk and some other areas.

Crimean Telegraph editorial team said that Koroleva was given an opportunity to make only one phone call to her office informing her staff that she along with her co-worker were detained not as regular citizens, but as journalists by Right Sector people. The current whereabouts of the Crimean Telegraph journalists is unknown. The paper is asking for assistance in searching for the missing reporters.
