ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: On the eve of religious processions of 8th Muharram ul Haram, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has devised a traffic plan to facilitate the motorists in the Federal Capital.

In the Federal Capital, four various processions will be taken out on Wednesday; therefore, the ITP has asked the commuters to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

The first 8th Muharram procession will be taken out from House No 28-A Sector G-7/3-4, and culminate at Imambargah in G-6/2, the second procession from Jamia Al-Murtaza G-9/4 to Imambargah Imam Sadiq G-9/2, the third procession from Ali Masjid G-7/2, and the fourth procession will be taken out from House No 443-A Street No 71 Sector G-9/1-1.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic plan, mentioning the processions routes and suggesting alternative routes for the people of the Federal Capital.Traffic plan for 8th Muharram processions in Islamabad

 

Separately, the City Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Muhammad Bin Ashraf has also directed the Traffic Wardens and Traffic officers to remain alert to regulate traffic during Muharram.

The CTO said that the City Traffic Police (CTP) are implementing a comprehensive traffic plan formulated for Muharram ul Haram in order to facilitate the citizens. He said that all arrangements have been finalized to provide proper security to Majalis and Muharram processions.
