Terrorists got logistic support from Badaber area for PAF Camp Peshawar attack

Islamabad, Pakistan: 13 terrorists who were killed in attack on PAF Camp Peshawar got Suzuki pickup and weapons from somewhere in adjacent area of Badaber.

According to sources, initial investigations suggested that terrorists did not come from Khyber Agency or Afghanistan with weapons and on pickup rather they gathered somewhere in Badaber area that is adjacent to PAF Cam and from this area they were giving logistic support including pickup and weapons.  Sources said that pick that was compounded in PAF Camp did not cross any security picket road leading to Badaber.  As many as five terrorists have been identified out of 13 who were killed in the ambush on PAF Camp. Three terrorists belonged to Khyber Agency while two were from Swat area. Interior Minister Ch. Nisar has expressed his annoyance over release of identities of killed terrorists in media and has ordered investigation how these information were leaked to media as these information were contrary to statement of Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan Army that believed that terrorists came from Afghanistan and were Afghans instead of Pakistani Pushtuns. Interior Minister Ch. Nisar was of the view that revelation of information about the identity of terrorists were not in favour of country because investigation are still underway and intelligence agencies are after collaborators, facilitators and supporters of terrorists.

ISPR believed that terrorists came from Afghanistan, were operated from Afghanistan but ISPR was silent about true identities of terrorists. However, some news were leaked or planted in local media that terrorists were not Pakistani Pushtuns as they were speaking Farsi (Parisian language) that is very rear at Pakistani Pushtun areas.

It may be mentioned that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attacked PAF Camp Badabair area early morning of September 18 (Friday) and killed 16 Namaazi inside PAF Camp mosque who were performing Fajr  prayer. Involvement or sponsorship of Indian intelligence agency RAW and Afghan Intelligence agency cannot be ruled out in this latest attack on installations of Pakistan Army. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) took responsibility of the attack and said that attack was in retaliation because PAF Camp was being used to attack tribal areas. However Pakistan Army said that camp was non-operational and had no sensitive installations.

Federal intelligence as well as security agencies are of the view that a massive intelligence failure of provincial intelligence departments played a mahor role in the attack on PAF Comp in Badabair on September 18 as there was no intelligence report whatsoever regarding the latest attack by terrorists.

They say that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police (Special Branch) and Crime Investigation Department (CID) have totally been ineffective and lack.
