Tashkent, Uzbekistan: Uzbekistan and the United Nations (UN) will hold a conference on Central Asia in February 2019.
The Conference titled “Central Asia – New Opportunities and Prospects for Regional Cooperation” will be held capital city of Tashkent on the eve of a meeting of heads of state of the region.
According to the deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov, the international political scientists and regional from well-known analytical centers from Central Asia, Russia, China, the United States, Europe, as well as representatives of leading international organizations and financial institutions are expected to attend the conference.
Meanwhile, Natalia German, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, head of the UNRCCA, noted that the conference would make it possible to develop proposals for the agenda of the second consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asian countries, scheduled for March 2019 in Tashkent.
