RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Field General Court Martial of Pakistan army found a serving Major guilty of misusing his authority, and awarded him life imprisonment, the media reports said.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa also confirmed his sentence, reports further stated citing the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Citing ISPR media reports said that the Court adjudged the accused officer guilty of misusing his authority, and awarded him life imprisonment.

The ISPR said that Pakistan army has a strong and powerful accountability process.
