NewsSC dismisses Contempt of Court petition against Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday dismissed the Contempt of Court petitions against the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar.

Earlier in the morning, the Supreme Court resumed the hearing of Contempt of Court petitions against Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Nehal Hashmi in Islamabad.

The Federal Minister for Privatization Daniyal Aziz would also be indicted by the Court today. The three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Azmat Saeed would hear the Case against Daniyal Aziz.

Likewise, the Supreme Court would also hear the Case about illegal construction and encroachments at Bani Gala.

In addition, the hearing of Contempt of Court Case against the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan would also be held today over his insulting remarks against the former Chief Justice Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudhry.
