QUETTA, Pakistan: The Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has announced to launch Rescue 122, the largest emergency humanitarian service of Pakistan.

In a briefing by the Director General Rescue 1122 Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer about the performance of Rescue 1122 operating in Punjab, Malik said that the launched of Rescue 1122 in Balochistan aims at reducing the loss of lives and property by providing timely and immediate relief and rescue during natural disasters.

The Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to start pilot project of Rescue 1122 in Quetta and ensure provision of all necessary equipment and training.

Dr Abdul Malik was assured that Rescue 1122 Punjab will provide all technical and training support for the establishment of Rescue 1122 in Balochistan.

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) is the largest emergency humanitarian service of Pakistan with infrastructure in all 36 districts of Punjab and is providing technical assistance to other provinces.

Rescue 1122 has rescued over 3.26 million victims of emergencies through its emergency ambulance, rescue & fire services and community emergency response teams while maintaining its average response time of seven minutes and standards in all districts of Punjab with population of over 80 million.
