D.I. Khan, Pakistan: In a daring move, Television icon and social worker Reham Khan visited family of 16-year-old girl who was stripped and forced to walk through a village in Ghara Matt of Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Social worker Reham Khan who is a Pushtun herself stated that the incident was horrific in Pushtun culture as nobody dared from village to protect victim girl.

Victim in her statement said that six accused shot a video when she was forced to walk naked in the village. The incident took place on October 27 but nobody helped orphan girl until the news broke in social media.

The family of victim says that powerful accused were free and are threatening the girls and the family for dire consequences.

Initial investigation suggests that village panchayat (village council) had information about this horrific incident but did not help orphan girl and her family. The name of a powerful provincial minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is surfacing as a man behind culprits but he is denying his involvement. The Minister for Revenue Ali Amin Khan Gandapur claims that allegations against him are political motivated.

After visiting the family of victim, Reham Khan talked to media and stated that she would stand with poor family and stated that this incident was a black spot on the face of her society.

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
