ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Rain-thunderstorm with light snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in Punjab, Federal Capital, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan whereas hailstorm may occur at few places during the next 24 hours.

Rainfall is forecast in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Hazara, Mardan divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan whereas cold and dry/dust raising winds are likely to blow in Sindh and Balochistan.

Westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist till Saturday, a met official Muhammad Farooq informed Friday.

Minimum temperatures recorded were Astore -03øC, Kalam, Gupis, Murree, Bagrote, Hunza -02øC, Malamjabba -01øC, Gilgit, Dir 00øC, Kalat, Quetta 01 C, Chitral 02øC, Muzaffarabad, Islamabad 06øC, Peshawar 07øC, Lahore 9øC, Faisalabad 12øC, Multan 10øC, Hyderabad 18øC and Karachi 21øC.
