ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Rain-thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls is expected at scattered places in Lower Sindh, upper Punjab, federal capital and Kashmir while at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, South Punjab, Balochistan, Upper Sindh and Gilgit Baltistan in next 24 hours.
Rainfall is likely at Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha divisions, Islamabad, and Kashmir, while Isolated places in KPK, FATA, Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan divisions, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Quetta divisions, Upper Sindh and Gilgit Baltistan.
Heavy falls may generate flash flooding and landslides in the vulnerable areas of Punjab, KP and Kashmir, an official of Met office told the state-run news agency.
Heat low lies over north Balochistan.
Monsoon currents are penetrating in southern parts while good monsoon currents are also penetrating in upper parts of the country and likely to intensify during next 24 hours. A westerly wave is affecting northeastern parts of Afghanistan and its adjoining areas.
In last 24 hours rain-thunderstorm occurred at scattered places in Sindh, Kalat, Zhob, Sibbi, Quetta divisions while at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, D.G.Khan, Peshawar divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
