Quetta blast linked with South Asian Daesh based in Karalla India
Lahore, Pakistan: Quetta blast that killed 72 people was planned by Jamaat-ul-Ahrar that is a component of South Asian Daesh based in Karalla India, claim intelligence sources.
According to intelligence sources Jamaat-ul-Ahrar is now a brand name of different groups previously linked with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. Jamaat-ul-Ahrar sometimes uses the name as Ahrar-ul-Hind according to demand of action and supply of funds.
Sources claim that though these groups are still linked with TTP based in Afghanistan have also become component of South Asian Daesh based in South India and allegedly getting funds from Indian intelligence agencies to destabilise neighbouring countries including Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Intelligence sources believe that South Indian Daesh is the same group that launched gruesome attack in Holey Artisan Bakery Dhaka in July this year where 33 persons, mostly foreigners lost their lives.
Sources further claim that this group also works with Afghan Intelligence Agency NDS and Indian intelligence Agency RAW for conducting operations in Pakistan. Roots of this group are spread almost in every corner of Pakistan because the group uses religious and political philosophy of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi — a banned terror group that had been operating from Punjab since decades and used to provide foot soldiers to Afghan Taliban in early 90s. This group is an offshoot of sectarian group Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) that was also known as Anjuman-i-Sipah Sahaba in past. The LeJ has claimed responsibility for various mass casualty attacks against the Shia community in Pakistan, including multiple bombings that killed over 200 Hazara Shias in Quetta in 2013. It has also been linked to the Mominpura Graveyard Lahore attack that took place in 1998. Pakistani establishment took first serious action against this group when it attacked Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore in 2009 and its link with RAW were established in investigation of this sensitive case.Intelligence sources maintain that combing operations to clean sleeper cells of this group in Punjab has already begun in however Punjab Police denies such information.
