Question mark over MoneyGram ‘friendly’ customer services

LAHORE, Pakistan: The customers of MoneyGram in Pakistan felt embarrassment on Friday when they remained helpless in receiving remittances due to non-cooperative behavior of the company staff.

“We are not being provided any cooperation or help at all as the MoneyGram agent seems reluctant to do anything,” one of the furious customers at MoneyGram Lahore office told us by phone.

“We were asked to contact the head office so we did but our calls are not being received by anyone there”, he added.

MoneyGram is second largest provider of money transfers in the world, operating in more than 200 countries with a global network of about 347,000 agent offices.

“Our mission is to connect family, friends and loved ones through reliable, 10-minute transfers. We help people send money to their families and friends for emergencies, celebrating big moments and providing for life’s essentials,” according to corporate.moneygram.com.

However unlike the above mentioned claim by the company, it customers had to face problems in receiving money on time as well as in dealing with the company staff who showed condemnable attitude.
