LAHORE, Pakistan: All Schools and Colleges in the Punjab Province would remain closed from December 24 to 31, 2016 for winter holidays, according to the provincial government.
As per notification of the Punjab Education Department, all public sector and privately managed schools and colleges would be closed from December 24 for winter vacations, Christmas and birth anniversary of the Father of the nation Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The institutions would reopen on January 2, 2017 (Monday).
The Education Departments of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had already announced the schedule for winter vacations.
In Sindh Province, all public or private educational institutions would remain closed from December 22 to 31, 2016 whereas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, educational institutions in the lower region of the province would remain closed from December 23 to 31.
However, top regions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would have longer vacations as their educational institutions would have holidays from December 23, 2016 to February 28, 2017.
