LAHORE, Pakistan: Only a few hours left when Pakistan will see revival of international cricket on its soil as the two Test playing cricket nations Pakistan and Zimbabwe will face each other in the first T20 of the two-match series in Lahore on Friday.

The match will be telecast live by the PTV Sports Live from the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore at 07:00 pm PST.

The first T20 is part of the bilateral series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe which includes two 20-20 games and three one-day internationals (ODIs).

The second 20-over game will be played on May 24 at the Gaddafi Stadium while three 50-over games will be played on May 26, 29 and 31 respectively. The viewers can watch all the matches between Pakistan and Zimbabwe from the Gaddafi Stadium at PTV Sports Live Channel.

For the T20 series with Zimbabwe also to be telecast live by PTV Sports Live, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday announced a 15-member squad led by star all-rounder Shahid Afridi.

In the Pakistan squad, right-arm off spiner bowler Saeed Ajmal was left out but all-rounder Shoaib Malik and right-arm fast bowler Muhammad Sami were included after a long time.

It is for the first time that an International Cricket Council (ICC) full-member nation has visited Pakistan since March 2009 when international cricket in Pakistan suffered a huge blow due to a terror attack on a bus carrying the Sri Lankan Cricket team in Lahore.

The terror attack claimed lives of eight Pakistanis including six policemen while six members of the Sri Lankan cricket team sustained injuries.

Subsequently, the door of international cricket was closed in Pakistan as foreign teams consistently refused to come to Pakistan due to security concerns. The situation forced the PCB to arrange bilateral series or any major cricket event at neutral venues mostly in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Pakistani government has arranged strict security measures to ensure that no untoward situation occurs till the visiting Zimbabwe Cricket team as well as their officials remain in Lahore.

Now since the international cricket has been revived in Pakistan with the Zimbabwe tour, it is hoped that other international cricket teams will also begin touring Pakistan and let the gentlemen game to further flourish in the cricket loving nation.

It will also give Pakistani Cricket fans an opportunity to not only watch their beloved game at PTV Sports Live TV Channel rather they can also throng stadiums across the country to see their cricket heroes in action live.
