LONDON, United Kingdom: Pakistan will look to settle the account with England as the two sides are going to meet again on Saturday at Lord’s for second one day international (ODI) of five matches series.
PTV Sports will telecast the match live from 02:30 pm according to Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
Surely, Pakistan will not repeat the mistake at Lord’s which they did in Southampton by not including leg-spinner Yasir Shah in playing XI. In first ODI, Imad Wasim and Muhammad Nawaz were given preference over Yasir Shah for what Captain Azhar Ali said at the toss that by virtue of their batting capabilities, Yasir Shah was overlooked.
But the mistake proved to be fatal and in response to Pakistan’s 260 runs, England reached the target by losing only three wickets. Though the match was affected by rain and the result was announced on Duckworth–Lewis (D/L) method.
Pakistan’s poor ODI form has been a major cause of concern for head Coach Mickey Arthur who in a recent media talk warned senior players of possible replacements if they continued to let the team down.
