DHAKA, Bangladesh: Pakistan will play its third match in the ongoing T20 Asia Cup against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday.

The match is scheduled to being at 06:30 pm according to Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

Currently, Pakistan has 2 points in the points table after playing two matches whereas Bangladesh carries 4 points after being involved in three encounters.

Pakistan will be much closer to qualify for the final if it beats Bangladesh. However, the Host are in-form and has already defeated the well-reputed and top contender Sri Lanka in the tournament. Therefore, if Bangladesh succeeds today, it will qualify for the final.

Sources said that Pakistan is likely to make one change for today’s match and Muhammad Nawaz, who made his T20 International debut against UAE on Monday, will be replaced by Imad Wasim.

Last night, India qualified for the final after beating Sri Lanka by five wickets.

In its innings, Sri Lanka while batting first managed to put 138 runs on the board after 20 overs were completed. In reply, India reached the target of 139 in 19.2 overs for the loss of five wickets.

India’s Virat Kohli continued his brilliant batting form and once again played a key role in team’s success. He scored 56 runs of 47 balls and eventually was declared man of the match.
