LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has announced to field Aleem Khan and Jehangir Khan Tareen as the party’s candidates for upcoming by-elections in Lahore’s NA-122 and Lodhran’s NA-154.

The by-elections in these two constituencies will reportedly be held on October 11 after election tribunals nullified election results of NA-122 and NA-154, and ordered the Election Commission of Pakistan (EPC) to carry out re-elections there.

In his address to party worker in Lahore on Saturday, the PTI Chief Imran Khan said that the PTI will fully contest the by-elections and all local bodes polls across the country.

Imran Khan said that the PTI will train polling staff if anyone tries to rig the elections, he will be nabbed on the spot. He also said that they will install cameras at every single polling station where polling will take place.

Imran Khan also called on the PTI workers to reach Islamabad on October 4 in front of the ECP Office.

“I invite you all to reach Islamabad on 4th October in front of election commission of Pakistan,” Imran said.

The PTI Chief said that they will stage a sit-in in front of the ECP Office in Islamabad on October 4 and he will announce his next strategy if the all four members of the ECP do not tender their resignations.

“We’ll stage a sit-in on 4th Oct, in front of ECP if all the four provincial election commissioners didn’t resign by then,” Imran Khan said.

Imran Khan once again challenged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to contest the NA-122 by polls against him.

“I challenge Mian Sahab to come contest in NA-122 against me and people will know Lahore belongs to whom,” he said.
