Prices of transferring money through Electronic Money Order (EMO) Service

The Electronic Money Order (EMO) Service launched by Pakistan Post has become operational on Tuesday (today), allowing Customers to have quick, safe, affordable and accurate way of transferring their money within the Country.

The Minister of State for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed inaugurated the EMO Service in Islamabad.

Murad Saeed also launched Same Day Delivery Service of Pakistan Post in major cities of the Country.

Though the EMO Service, Customers will be able to transfer money up to Rs 100,000 at very nominal charges ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 600.

The EMO is the swift way to transfer money from one Post Office to other Post Office. The Service is available in all 83 General Post Offices (GPOs) throughout Pakistan.

The Electronic Money Order (EMO) Service is of two types i.e.:-

• Post-to-Post
• Post-to-Doorstep

Initially, the EMO shall offer the window payment at the concerned GPO which is known as Post-to-Post.

Salient Features of Electronic Money Order (EMO):

• Booking of money orders at the counters
• Instant Transmission of money order through Riposte system
• Available to encash at any GPO instantly
• More secure with unique transaction identifier
• SMS notification

Electronic Money Order Service is offered at all 83 GPOs across Pakistan
