PM Nawaz directed report about abduction of Chinese couple in Quetta

Islamabad, Pakistan: The Prime Minister of Pakistan has directed Chief Minister Balochistan to use all resources to recover kidnapped Chinese couple who was abducted from Quetta Balochistan and provide a detail report about the incident, say sources.

It may be mentioned that a Chinese couple running a language centre in Jinnah Town Quetta was abducted by unknown armed persons on Wednesday around afternoon.Chinese couple was attending language centre for the last two months to learn Urdu.

According to police officials, Li Zang Hing and Ming Leassi Ha were abducted when they left the language centre for lunch and kidnappers injured one passerby Muhammad Zahid Durrani who tried to stop kidnappers.

Eye witnesses claim that one Chinese woman managed to escape and ran back to the centre.

Sources say that the Ambassador of China in Pakistan contacted top officials in Islamabad and Quetta and Prime Minister House also passed directives to provide report about the incident.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
