ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: An amount of Rs 40,381,067 was spent on six foreign tours undertaken by Prime Minister Imran Khan after assuming the Office in August 2018, the National Assembly was told on Monday.

As per the details submitted by the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the House, Prime Minister Imran Khan undertook six foreign visits from September 18, 2018 to November 20, 2018.

The foreign minister told the Lower House of the Parliament that the prime minister’s visits cost a total of Rs 40,381,067.

The national assembly was told that Imran Khan as the prime minister paid a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia from September 18-19 which cost Rs 3,099,360 and then he also visited UAE on September 18, spending Rs 433,215.

From October 22-23, the incumbent prime minister again undertook a two-day visit to Riyadh at the expenditure of Rs 870,132.

Imran Khan from November 1 to November 5 was in Beijing and Shanghai on a four-day official tour to China, costing Rs 24,444,799. He again toured UAE for a day visit to Abu Dhabi/Dubai on November 18 which cost Rs 3,990,492.

From November 20-21, the prime minister held a two-day stay in Malaysia’s Putrajaya City at the expenditure of Rs 7,543,067.PM Imran Khan’s six foreign visits cost Rs 43,081,000
