PIA starts online check-in service for passengers

NewsPIA starts online check-in service for passengers

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has started online check-in service to facilitate passengers saving their time at the airport from June 12.

Talking to the state-run news agency in Islamabad, an official of the Pakistan International Airlines said that customers will be allowed to check-in online even before reaching the airport. He said that customers will be allowed to check-in online and service will be accessible 24 hours before the flight until 3 hours of flight.

The PIA official said that the service is currently valid for domestic operations only. He further said that the service is currently offered for flights between Karachi, Lahore & Islamabad.

The official said that online check-ins are particularly useful when passengers are travelling with hand-carry only luggage, adding that in such cases, passengers can get their boarding pass well ahead of reaching the airport, get their security cleared and head straight to the gate instead of getting into the queues at the airport.

In addition, the official said that the PIA will extend its online check-in service for other airports as well very soon.
