ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has introduced its new logo and design which include a painting of the Markhor, the national animal which inhabits the mountainous regions of Pakistan.

The Prime Minister’s Advisor on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan inaugurated the new corporate look of PIA at a Ceremony held in Islamabad.

Besides high officials of PIA and Civil Aviation including the Secretary Aviation Irfan Elahi, the President and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Musharraf Rasool, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Zia Qadir, the CCO Bilal Munir Sheikh, the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Amir Ali, and the Human Resources (HR) Chief Asma Bajwa were also present on the occasion.

While addressing the Ceremony, Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan shared that PIA has taken a progressive step to rebuild its image in the World and it is a gradient endeavor to rebrand PIA which highlights our commitment to the preservation of the Markhor; our national animal.

The advisor said that PIA has introduced a new corporate of planes’ exterior including its logo while cockpit of PIA planes integrates the Pakistan’s flag, accompanied by PIA; written in English and Urdu.

Sardar Mehtab further expressed that we have introduced world class facilities for the local and international fights and it is our foremost commitment to win the hearts of our passengers.

“I appreciate the efforts to rebrand the image of PIA and this strategy is practiced worldwide. Markhor is a national animal which is a fighter and does not lose heart in the hard time as he has courage to climb the mountain regardless of the difficulties. PIA will also touch the heights in the same manner”, he said.

On this occasion, the CEO Musharraf Rasool also gave a detailed briefing. He said that official logo of PIA has been changed with the image of our national animal Markhor; and we are constantly trying to achieve the target to make Pakistan International Airlines, a top of the list airline of the World.

Musharraf Rasool said that we are trying to upgrade the level and standards of given facilities and we are approaching different proposals and strategies to get success.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
