RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistan strongly rejects allegations of employing proxies from its soil.

The COAS made these remarks in a meeting with the US National Security Advisor General H. R McMaster who called on him at the army’s general headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, said a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During his visit at the GHQ, the visiting dignitary was briefed about Pakistan’s war on terror and its contributions to regional and global stability.

It was highlighted that distinguished feature of Pakistan’s counter terrorism effort is focused against terrorists of all hue and colour.

The COAS said that while Pakistan itself is victim of state sponsored terrorism, it strongly rejects allegations of employing proxies from its soil.

The US national secure advisor acknowledged Pakistan army’s efforts in eliminating terrorists and their infrastructure. He also assured the support of the United States to bring peace and stability in the region and globe.
