ORENBURG, Russia: A week-long multinational military exercise ‘TSENTR 2019′ (Centre 2019) under the ambit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has started at Donguz area of Russian southwestern Orenburg City.
The exercise ‘TSENTR 2019’, being held from September 16-21, aims at evolving drills of the participating armies in the fight against international terrorism ensuring security and stability in the region.

Apart from host Russia, military contingents from all SCO member states including Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, India, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are taking part in this international exercise.
The opening ceremony was attended by senior military officials of all the participating countries.
As per the TASS news agency, about 128,000 soldiers, more than 20,000 units of weapons and military equipment, about 600 aircraft and up to 15 ships and support vessels are participating in the TSENTR 2019.
