Pakistan denies reports regarding troops deployment in Qatar

Islamabad, Pakistan: Foreign Office of Pakistan has categorically rejected reports appearing in some foreign press and media regarding deployment of Pakistani troops in Qatar.

In a statement issued by Pakistan Foreign Office on Sunday that is an official week off, spokesperson of Foreign Office said that these reports were “completely fabricated and baseless”. He stressed that “these false reports appear to be part of a malicious campaign aimed at creating misunderstanding between Pakistan and brotherly Muslim countries in the Gulf.

Reporter from Islamabad adds:

There is an ongoing campaign against Pakistan that is spreading fabricated news and Photoshoped items indicating that Pakistan is deploying its troops in Qatar and top leadership of Pakistan Army visited Qatar recently.

There was a fake and fabricated photo spreading in social media and picked by international media outlets for claiming that top Army leadership visited Qatar after Qatar faced diplomatic isolation due to termination of diplomatic relationship with its neighbouring countries. The apparent reason for his calculated campaign is to ruin relations of Islamabad with certain Arab countries.

It may be mentioned that Pakistan has cordial relations with all Arab countries and its Foreign Policy has been Middle East centric since last 40 years and it manages balance while dealing with all Arab states.
