Pakistan condemns recruitment, use of children in armed conflicts

UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan has condemned recruitment and use of children in armed conflicts, and called for stopping violations of children’s rights and prevent their recurrence in conflicts.

The permanent representative of Pakistan to the United Nations ambassador Masood Khan while participating in the open debate at the UN Security Council appreciated UN Secretary General and Security Council’s role in protecting the children.

Masood Khan said that in the last 15 years, significant progress has been made in protecting children’s rights because of the Security Council’s resolute effort and the Secretary General’s effective outreach.
