Islamabad: You can say that Pakistan as a nation looks busy in enjoying dramatic speeches of political leaders inside the parliament and main stream media is busy to cover minute to minute proceedings of Azad March and Inqlaab March sitting outside the parliament, forgetting those who are drowning in unprecedented flash floods and rain fall.   No it is not true. Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif have started their visits to flood hit areas and Pakistan Army relief and rescue operation is continue for flood hit areas although Pakisran Army troops are themselves hit by floods and landslides in Azad Kashmir.

Pakistan Army is providing rescue operation in every district where their help is needed. Army rescue operation is on in  Jhelum, Kot Momin, Pindi Bhattian,Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Chinot, jhang, Mandi bahaudin and surroundings. Army troops have also been moved to Multan, DG khan, Liyyah, Sahiwal, Trimoo Headworks to meet in crisis situation.
In Gilgit, around 33 persons along with their live stock have been recovered from Deosai. These people were trapped in Deosai plateau at 16000 feet height because of heavy snow fall. Army Relief camp has been established at Chilum near Astore for provision of necessary relief items and medical care.

Around 5 helicopters employed on flood relief duties flew 30 plus sorties for rescue of trapped people. On September 8, 1500 people were rescued by helicopters and boats from flood hit areas of Jalalpur Bhattian, Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Wani kay Tarar, Rasool Nagar, Chiniot, Kot Momin and Mandi Bahauddin. 10000 x Food packs were dropped by Army helicopters for people trapped in flood water at various places.

Pakistan Army started its operation right after news of floods in Azad Kasmir, Northern Areas and Punjab started coming in. Army held rescue operation even in Rawalpindi where hundreds of people were trapped in waters of Nalla Leh.

In line with their traditions Army troops are working at full pace and capacity to extend maximum help to their brethren in distress. It may be mentioned that Army conducted 16 helicopters sorties were for rescue of trapped people on September 7 and 2300 people were rescued by helicopters and boats from flood hit areas of Chiniot, Kotmomin Phalia, Hafizabaz, Khanki,Qadirabad,Bajwat, Chaprar, Qadirabad, Khanki, Wazirabad and Mandibahuddin areas. Food packs were dropped by Army helicopters for people trapped in flood water at various places in Chiniot,Sialkot, Gujranwala and Mandibahauddin

Since start of relief Operation, Army troops have rescued more than 7500 stranded people to safer places. Besides ground troops, 300 boats and 5 Helicopters have been employed for rescue and relief activities.
In Gujranwala division Pakistan army has established 54 relief camps and 73  mobile medical camps where flood affectees are being provided food items, shelters and medical aid.
Since start of relief Operation, Army troops have rescued more than 17000 stranded people to safer places. Besides ground troops, 325 boats and 5 x Helicopters have been employed for rescue and relief activities.

Floods situation will come under control in next three days as water is receding at barrages in Punjab
