ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: While maintaining its tradition, the National Press Club (NPC) continues to entertain the Journalist Community as now it is going to organize ‘Pashtu Cultural Family Show’ in Rawalpindi on Saturday (February 18).

The ‘Pashtu Cultural Family Show’ is being organized in partnership with Pakhtoon Cultural Organization at National Press Club Rawalpindi Camp Office.

The President All Pakhtoon Rawalpindi-Islamabad Mehmood Khan Bangash will be the Chief Guest at the event wherein famous Pashto and Urdu artists will give live performances.

The NPC has already turned into a real Family Club by holding family shows and other such events for the Journalist Community.

Since being elected as Incharge of Rawalpindi Press Club, NPC Senior Joint Secretary Abid Abbasi has been striving hard to re-activate the Rawalpindi Press Club and designing various programs to provide maximum facilities to journalists of Rawalpindi who cannot visit Islamabad NPC.

No only food quality at the Rawalpindi Press Club has been improved but cultural activities have also been enhanced.

Earlier on February 9, Mehfil-e-Milad was organized at the Rawalpindi Press Club to pay tribute to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).Mehfle Milad at Rawalpindi Press Club

Following a thumping victory in annual NPC general election 2017, the NPC President Shakeel Anjum and General Secretary Imran Yaqoob Dhillon reaffirmed their resolve to continue to serve the Journalist Community, and upheld the tradition of setting new trends in this regard.

Like ‘Pashtu Cultural Family Show’ in Rawalpindi, the NPC Islamabad is also going to organize ‘Sham-e-Sukhan’ on February 18 in collaboration with Sada-e-Sukhan (Islamabad). Renowned poet Farheen Chaudhry will be the Chief Guest at the event.

Prior to it, the NPC organized an evening with living legend Kishwar Naheed on January 24 to pay tribute to her literary services. Senator Shibli Faraz and Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) Professor Dr Qasim Bughio were among prominent participants.Kishwar Naheed at NPC

Later the NPC in collaboration with Pakhtoon Cultural Organization held ‘Pashto Cultural Family Show’ in Islamabad on February 3 with an aim to entertain and create awareness amongst the Journalist Community about the Pakhtoon culture.

Likewise, a ‘Sufi Night’ was organized by the Asian Union of Journalists at the NPC Islamabad on February 4.

Besides in a bid to provide better facilities to the Journalist Community with regard to refreshment and food, the NPC is set to inaugurate ‘Coffee Khana’ soon which will remain 24-hour open. Similarly, certain extra measures are being taken to ensure security of Journalists at the NPC Islamabad.NPC Coffee Khana
