ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The annual election of the office bearers of the National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad for the year 2019-20 will be held on January 8 (NPC Election 2019).

According to the press release, the NPC the Election Committee headed by the Chairman Ilyas Chaudhry and comprising on Raja Kafeel, Mian Munir Ahmed, Sheikh Nisar Hussain and Chaudhry Muhammad Ahsan Premee has finalized the schedule at a meeting held at the NPC.

According to the schedule of NPC Election 2019, nomination papers will be received from December 23 to 26 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Scrutiny and initial list of candidates will be displayed on December 27. Filing of objections on nomination papers will be received on December 28 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Objections will be heard on December 29 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm while provisional list of candidates will be displayed on December 30.

Withdrawal of nomination papers will be allowed on December 31 maximum by 8:00 pm. The final list of candidates will be displayed on January 1, 2019.

Polling will be held on January 8, 2019 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm without any beak at the NPC Premises in Islamabad.

For the posts of President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary and Finance Secretary non-refundable election fee of Rs 500 each while for the governing body Rs 200 each is required to be deposited along with the nomination papers.

Nomination papers can be obtained from the National Press Club Election Office.
