ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Non-filers will be liable to pay 100 percent more tax than filers while purchasing vehicles as revealed in the Finance Supplementary (Second Amendment Bill), 2019 presented by the Federal Minister for Finance Asad Umar in National Assembly on January 23.

While presenting the Finance Bill, Asad Umar said that non-filers would now be allowed to purchase vehicles upto 1300CC. However, he added that, their tax rate will be enhanced to generate more revenue and encourage the people to become filers.

As per the Supplementary Budget, Rs 15,000 has been increased as tax for non-filers to buy a car from 1000CC to 1300CC. Therefore, from now onward they will have to pay Rs 60,000 tax for purchasing a car with engine capacity of 1300CC.
