Rawalpindi, Pakistan: Nimaze Jinaza, of Lt Col Faisal Malik shaheed and Sepoy Zohaib Shaheed who laid their lives in Shawal operation today, was held at Army Graveyard Race Course Ground Rawalpindi tonight.
A large number of senior serving and retired officers which include Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chief of General Staff, Lt Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, Corps Commander Rawalpindi, Lieutenant General Najib ullah Khan, DG Joint Staff, other sernior officers and other ranks and relatives of the Shuhada offered Namaze Jinaza. Shuhada will be buried at their ancestral villages with full military honours.

It may be mentioned that the security forces killed six terrorists in an exchange of fire took place in Shawal area of the North Waziristan tribal region on Monday and two soldiers were shaheed.

The military operation Zarb-e-Azb which was launched in June 2014 following an attack at Karachi’s Jinnah international airport has entered into the final phase while according to the military sources, it has been yielding positive results.

Last week, the Pakistan army also began its ground operation in the Shawal area as part of the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb in the tribal region.

Zarb-e-Azb has reached its final stage in tribal areas and Pakistan Army is cleaning settled areas also because terrorists are running away either towards settled areas or taking refuge inside Afghanistan where anti-Pakistan elements are providing support to terrorists to fight against Pakistan Army.

 

Pakistan Army started operation Zarb-e-Azb on June 15, 2014 against terrorists in tribal areas that was known for being a heaven for radical Islamists to live who came from all over the world for Afghan Jihad. No action had ever been conducted against extremists Islamists in tribal areas till Zarb-e-Azb started. Pakistan Army is fighting against terrorists irrespective of their political linage and a number of international terrorists who came from Middle East, Central Asia and China have been during operation Zarb-e-Azb.
