GUJRAT, Pakistan: The disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday sought support of the nation to ensure respect of public vote, and also asked them to wait for his message for fighting people’s rule in the Country.

“This is a matter of respect of vote of 200 million people of Pakistan,” Nawaz Sharif said while addressing thousands of people in Gujrat where his homecoming rally reached today.

“Right of rule must be with people,” the ousted prime minister said.

Nawaz Sharif said that it’s his fight against the practice of sending elected prime ministers to homes. He said that he was sent home thrice, and public mandate was dishonored.

“We will fight for destiny of people of Pakistan,” Nawaz said. “We have to change this Country, we have to change this nation.”

The disqualified prime minster further said that he was not disqualified on corruption charges as even the Supreme Court’s judges admitted that he wasn’t involved in any corruption.

Sharif said that people have rejected the Panama verdict, and he had filed an appeal in people’s court.

The former prime minister also lambasted the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, saying his political is based on allegations and lies.

Nawaz Sharif further said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government set power units across the Country, and therefore, load-shedding will be ended by next year.

Earlier the Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique also addressed the public in Gujrat, saying people have rejected the verdict in Panama Papers Case announced by a five-member bench of the Supreme Court on July 28.

Saad Rafique said that no corruption was proved against Nawaz Sharif, adding that everyone should accept mandate of the people.

Meanwhile, the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s rally continues its journey towards Lahore.

The rally led by the deposed prime minister and accompanied by senior PML-N leaders including Khawaja Saad Rafique, Pervaiz Rasheed, Amir Muqam, Talal Chaudhry and Abid Sher Ali left Jhelum at around 11:30 am on Friday where Nawaz Sharif spent whole night at Tulip Hotel just near the Jhelum River.

On its way to Gujranwala via Grand Trunk (GT) road, where according to the plan, Nawaz Sharif will stay for night, the rally consisting of a number of vehicles carrying PML-N supporters passed through Kharian and Lalamusa.

The former prime minister made a stopover in Lalamusa and briefly addressed the public gathering in which he thanked the people for their warm welcome.

Nawaz Sharif said that it’s the people whose Court has to give real decision. He asked the people to stand with him in his efforts to change the fate of the Country.

Meanwhile, as the rally reached near Lalamusa, a 12-year-old Child was killed when a vehicle of Elite Force ran over him.

In a statement, the State Minister for Information Maryam Aurangzeb expressed grief over the death of a child in the PML-N rally.

Maryam Aurangzeb said that Nawaz Sharif directed the local leadership to visit residence of the child and offer condolences. She said that the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif also directed the local administration to provide details of the incident.

The state minister said that the information is being gathered regarding the sad incident.

On the other hand, a large number of PML-N supporters and workers are present in Gujranwala to welcome their leader.

They are carrying party flags and portraits of Nawaz Sharif and chanting slogans in his favour.
