ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The weather experts have predicted more rain spells for different parts of the country during the month of April which would make the weather pleasant.

Talking to the state-run news agency, Director National Weather Forecasting Centre, Dr. Muhammad Hanif said, “according to the predictions till today, the country will receive frequent rains during the month of April.

The rain spell to start from Friday will bring moderate rains in different parts of the country while there are chances of heavy rain in Malakand and Hazara division.

The spell would be the result of the westerly wave to enter in the country on Friday.

Dr. Hanif said two more rain spells are expected in the month of April one in the second week and another in the third week.

He said the current rain spell would not leave any bad impact on the crops especially Wheat crop which is at developed stage but the vegetable growers have to take precautions.

According to the weather report, rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered place in Northeast Balochistan including Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi, Naseerabad divisions during Friday evening to Sunday.

Rain-thunderstorm associated with gusty winds is expected at scattered place in FATA, upper KP including Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat and Bannu divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir from Friday (night) to Monday. Islamabad and upper Punjab including Sargodha, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala divisions during Saturday to Monday.

Rain-thunderstorm is also expected at isolated place in Dera Ismail Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore and Sahiwal divisions during Saturday and Sunday.

More rains may trigger further landslides in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during Sunday and Monday.
