There are a total of 42 Rest Houses in Pakistan Post Office Department. Of them, 16 have been placed under Category-A, 22 under Category-B and 04 under Category-C.
The above data was shared by the Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed in the National Assembly in reply to a question by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) lawmaker Tahir Aurangzeb.
To another question by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Uzma Riaz, Murad Saeed also apprised the House that the National Highway Authority (NHA) has been making its best possible efforts since its inception to provide maximum facilities and services to the road users whether on national highways or motorways.
Following facilities/services are being provided to the road users round on Motorway M1;
- Medical Care Services (Trauma Centre at Rashakai Service Area (North Bound))
- Ambulance Service (Six ambulances along with nursing staff at Peshawar Toll Plaza, Charsadda Toll Plaza, Rashakai Service Area, Swabi Toll Plaza, Fateh Jang Toll Plaza and Islamabad Toll Plaza)
- Accident Recovery Vehicle
- Mobile Workshop
- Fire Fighting Vehicles
