ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Various cities of Punjab including provincial capital Lahore, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi are likely to receive light rain tonight.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department said that light rain was expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and at other isolated places, reported a private news channel.

Mid-night breeze had beaten the heat in different parts of Punjab however, plains in Sindh are witnessing hot weather.

On the other hand, dust raising winds are forecast in Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Quetta, Shaheed Benazirabad and Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan divisions.

The heat-stricken masses in several cities of Punjab took a sigh of relief at the start of the week as extremely hot weather became pleasant after rain on Sunday night.

Besides, several feeders were tripped in the provincial capital due to rain, plunging most parts of the city into darkness. Strong winds also uprooted number of trees in the city.
