ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A leopard video, grabbing a dog and running away when someone scared it with a gun, has been circulated extensively on social media, triggering fear among dwellers of the Federal Capital.

The video has been widely shared in various WhatsApp groups with a warning that residents of Islamabad should be careful as wild animals are now peeping into homes due to the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The CCTV footage of the incident shows that a leopard entered a bungalow and attacked a pet dog inside the premises of the house.

Along with it, it was propagated on social media that the house was located on Margalla Road in Islamabad.

However, as usual, the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, who has the distinction of giving immediate responses cleared the dust regarding the video.

In fact, the incident did not happen in Pakistan rather it took place in a residential society of Una in Gujarat, India.

MasoodSharif Khattak @MSharifKhattak on his twitter account shared the video and wrote, “Just received this video of a leopard jumping into a house on/near Margalla Road in Islamabad. It grabbed the dog and ran away when someone (not seen) scared it with a gun. That’s what the post read. How things seem to be becoming different. Wildlife is now peeping into homes.”

The Deputy Commissioner sans taking any time replied, “Sir the video is not from Islamabad.”
