Kazakhstan celebrates 25th anniversary of its Diplomatic Services
Islamabad, Pakistan: Kazakhstan celebrates 25th anniversary of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bakhitbek Shabarbayev in Pakistan hosted a reception for representatives of state bodies and non-governmental organisations, politicians, senior journalists and diplomatic corps of Islamabad to celebrate 25th anniversary of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan here this evening.
Kazakhstan now has diplomatic relations with 182 states manning 57 embassies and 31 diplomatic institutions abroad. Over 95 foreign embassies and representative offices of international organisations are working in Kazakhstan, indicating strong diplomatic relations of Astana with rest of the world.
Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoys cordial relations since independence of Kazakhstan from former Soviet Union. Pakistan was the first country in South Asia that recognized Kazakhstan as an independent state. Â Pakistan recognized Kazakhstan on December 20, 1991. On February 24, 1992, diplomatic and consular relations were established during an official visit by Kazakhstani president Nursultan Nazarbayev to Pakistan.
Kazakhstan supported Islamabad for full membership of Pakistan in Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and Pakistan became full member of SCO during Astana Summit of SCO this year.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bakhitbek Shabarbayev in Pakistan is proactive to enhance bilateral trade and cultural relations between the two nations.
