ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Met Department warned the people of Karachi to be ready to meet severe heat wave as the rainfall is least expected this season in the metropolis.
Karachi has suffered severely from the extreme heatwave that spread fast during the last few years and caused over a thousand fatalities.
Heat waves are typically defined as extended periods of hotter than average temperatures, although the precise timing and temperature differential varies regionally.
It is pertinent to mention here that Karachi faced an extreme hot summer spell last year that spawned over 2000 deaths in the mega city.
