ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The member of the election commission from Punjab Justice (retd) Riaz Kayani has served former additional secretary of the commission Afzal Khan with a legal notice worth Rs20 million.
The notice demanded from Afzal Khan to apologize from the member ECP within next 14 days.
It said that if the additional secretary does not apologize for his act of defaming the serving member ECP, then he reserves the right to proceed with civil or criminal lawsuits against Afzal Khan.
Kayani has taken a stance in the notice that Afzal Khan leveled baseless allegations against him damaging his reputation.
