KOTLI, Azad Kashmir: The Indian forces once again targeted Civilians after a brief pause at the border as they hit a School Van along the Line of Control (LoC) on Friday, leaving the driver dead and 10 Children injured.

The cross border firing by the Indian forces took place in Mori Bazaar in Nakyal Sector of Azad Jammu & Kashmir’s Kotli district, according to the Assistant Commissioner (AC) Zeeshan Khan.

The assistant commissioner said that a School Van with 20 Children on board was targeted which left its driver dead. He said that at least 10 Children between 8 to 15 years also sustained injuries, and among them three were in critical condition.

Subsequently, injured Children were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Kotli for medical treatment.

However, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that as a result of Indian troops firing at LoC in Nakial sector, one Civilian was martyred while four School Children were injured.

“I civilian embraced shahadat and 4 school children were injured when Indian troops violating ceasefire sanctity targetted a school van at LoC in Nakial sector today,” said a statement issued by the ISPR.
