ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly hot and dry weather in most parts of the country during next 24 hours.
However, according to an official of PMD, light rain/thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at few places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Sargodha, Gujranwala divisions, Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) and Kashmir.
The official said that the seasonal low pressure area lies over north Balochistan and its adjoining area, adding that a westerly wave is still affecting upper parts of the country and likely to affect during next 48 hours.
The PMD official further said that the weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country during past 24 hours. However, he added, rain-thunderstorm occurred at one or two places in Rawalpindi, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Gujranwala and Sargodha divisions.
Yesterday’s highest maximum temperatures was in Dalbandin, Moenjodaro, Shaheed Benazirabad 45øC, Nokkundi, Larkana, Sibbi, Dadu 44øC.
