ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Work on the Burhan-Havelian section of the Hazara Motorway is in full swing and work on the first two packages would be completed by March 2017 while the package III would be completed by December next year.
Giving a briefing to the media persons on Wednesday, the Project Director (PD) of NHA, Fiaz Ahmed said, that the cost of the project was Rs 30 billions but after revised PC-1 it would be completed with the cost of Rs 34 billions.
He told that the Burhan-Havelain section started from near Burhan Inter Change of the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway (M-1) and concluded at Havelain.
He said that the total length of project was 58.6 kilometer and would be completed in three packages.
The package 1 was about 20 kilometer, while second and third are 19 km each.
Fiaz said that the Hazara Motorway included 44 flyovers, 29 under passes and six interchanges at different points.
He said that about 41 per cent overall progress of the work had been achieved on Package-I, about 34 per cent ton Package-II and five per cent on the Package-III.
He said that Havelian to Thakot expressway would also be started soon.
