ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony would announce Hajj Policy 2016 immediately after vacation of stay orders granted by the Sindh High Court (SHC).

According to an official, the ministry has to submit flight schedule to Saudi Authorities by April 22. And the ministry needs at least 12 days to complete Hajj application receiving and selecting successful pilgrims process.

Elaborating he said 10 days are needed for application receiving and two days for computerizing the applications and holding transparent balloting.

He said an application has already been moved in the SHC, praying before the court to vacate the stay orders to enable the ministry to start receiving hajj applications.

He said due to policy announcement delay – the whole schedule including acquiring the buildings for intending pilgrims, hiring other facilities including traveling and others are likely to delay further.

He said hajj forms are available in the designated bank branches in abundance but they can’t start receiving Hajj applications due to delay in policy announcement.
