RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel has said they will not allow anyone to kill our people and children, also vowed to expose all faces who helped terrorists at any stage in any way.

“Won’t allow anyone to kill our people, children in this country. Will expose all faces who helped them at any stage in any way,” the COAS said when he visited the Shawal area of North Waziristan on Thursday and spent time with troops participating in fight against terrorists, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The COAS directed troops to comprehensively cleanse the terrorists from their hideouts, isolate them to their size and sever their link with their abettors anywhere.

The army chief pointed out that going by the accomplishments, the Pakistan Army has no parallel in success rate in the war against terror.

General Raheel said that heights of Shawal mountains have been cleared and main features of the Valley occupied and are being sanitized.

“The state of troops’ morale is inspiring,” he said while commending them for speed and gains of the operation.

The military operation dubbed as ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ was launched in June 2014 against various militant outfits in North Waziristan with air strikes, targeting militants’ hideouts.

Earlier this month, the Pakistan military also began its ground offensive in Shawal area while according to the ISPR, about 203 terrorists have so far been killed in the multi-pronged operation there.
