ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: General Qamar Javed Bajwa reached Saudi Arabia on Saturday for a three-day official visit, his first foreign tour after he took over as Pakistan’s 16th Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
In a twitter message, the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt General Asim Saleem Bajwa said that the COAS arrived in Riyadh where he was warmly received by Assistant Defence Minister Muhammad bin Abdullah al-ayesh.
During his visit, General Bajwa will hold meetings with the Saudi senior civil and military leadership, ISPR said.
“COAS arrives Kingdom of Saudi Arabia( Riyadh) on 3 days official visit.warmly revceived by Assistant Def Min,Muhammad bin Abdullah al-ayesh.Will meet senior civ/mil ldrship,” said the director general ISPR.
It is the first foreign visit of General Qamar Javed Bajwa as the COAS after he replaced General Raheel Sharif for the Post on November 29 this year.
