ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has announced a three-day holiday on account of Eid-ul-Azhar, falling on September 13.

The Ministry of Interior issued a notification in this regard in which it said that all public and private offices would remain closed from September 12 to 14 (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) on occasion of Holy festival.

Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated across Pakistan on September 13 (Tuesday).

“First Zilhaj will fall on Sunday (Sept 4) and Eidul Azha will be celebrated on Sept 13 (Tuesday),” the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman announced on Friday while talking to media after presiding over a meeting held or sighting of the Zilhaj moon

The annual religious festival is celebrated across the World by Muslims with great religious fervour and enthusiasm to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S).
